Save food initiative

It is estimated that every year one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption, i.e. about 1.3 billion tonnes, is lost or wasted. The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) is the specialised agency of the United Nations that is leading international efforts to end hunger. Their goal is to improve food security for all and to ensure regular and sufficient access to good quality food so that everyone can lead a healthy and active life. With more than 194 member countries, the FAO is working with more than 130 countries around the world.

As a committed industrial company, Flexico® has been a member of the Save Food initiative since 2014. We are already fighting against this scourge thanks to our resealable products which can be used to keep the product fresher for longer up to avoid waste.
